On January 30, the roof air raising of three storage tanks for the Jiangsu Huadian Ganyu LNG Receiving Terminal Project, EPC-contracted by CNCEC-TCC, was successfully completed 60 days ahead of schedule. This marks the successful completion of the project's most important and challenging installation milestone, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction.
The LNG tank that completed air lifting this time is one of the three 220,000 m³ prestressed concrete full-containment tanks under the project. Air lifting is a core procedure in tank construction, with extremely high requirements for construction precision and safety control. Faced with this key milestone, the project team conducted scientific coordination and thorough deployment, adopting a three-dimensional monitoring network featuring laser ranging, drone inspection and intelligent large screen. By means of air buoyancy, the nearly 1,000-ton steel dome was lifted to the tank’s compression ring, achieving successful precision docking at the millimeter level, and cutting-edge technologies guaranteed zero error and zero hidden risks in the air lifting operation.
The successful achievement of this milestone has laid a solid foundation and boosted confidence for the project department to complete mechanical completion on schedule. Taking this opportunity, the project department will give full play to its four major advantages in innovation, technology, management and resources, uphold a high sense of responsibility and mission, work hand in hand with China Huadian Corporation and all participating units, strive in unity and pursue excellence through hard work, adhere to the principles of "zero accidents, high quality and fast progress", concentrate on building a high-quality and benchmark project featuring "advanced technology, compliance with environmental standards and remarkable benefits", and inject strong impetus into the country’s efforts to promote the clean energy transition and fulfill the "Dual Carbon" goals.
