China Tianchen Chemical Engineering Corporation (abbreviation in English TCC), previously known as the First Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, was founded in 1953 and was the first state design institute. TCC has been trying to find a new idea in reform of design system and project execution mode and gradually TCC has shifted to EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor from the only engineering design company. Now TCC, as an international company, has been named many times a one of the 100 strongest units engaging exploration and design by the Ministry of Construction Ministry. Meanwhile, TCC has been continuously listed as one of the top 225 Global International Contractors in American "Engineering News Records" (ENR).

TCC owns many "Class A" qualifications to perform design and EPC contract, besides TCC has also the right to do the importation & exportation business. TCC can undertake project planning, feasibility study, engineering design, equipment & materials procurement, construction management and project supervision in the fields of petrochemical, fine chemical, organic & inorganic chemical, coal chemical, pharmaceutical and light & textile industries. Moreover, TCC is also engaged in the storage & handling system, the industrial & civil building and municipal engineering. By adopting the international accepted mode TCC can provide the project services of the whole process.

TCC was the first enterprise to obtain the ISO 9001 quality system certification among the exploration and design units and in 2000 TCC was again accredited to ISO9001 quality system (2000 rev.). In 2002 TCC passed the certification for ISO 14001, GB/T28001 Occupational Safety & Health and Environmental Management system.

TCC follows the quality policy of "Clients Satisfaction is TCC's Unique Guideline". TCC provides for the clients various engineering services in conformity with the laws and regulations of the country and region where projects are located and to meet clients requirements and safety in the environment. Up to now, TCC has completed the engineering design and turnkey contract of over thousands of large and medium size projects, which can be found all over the China and in the overseas market. There have been hundreds of projects of engineering design, turnkey contract and technology, which were awarded prizes form the state, provinces and the ministries respectively.
